Route

Tour around Valensole (from June 23rd to July 12th):

9:30 am: Pickup in front of Hotel Le Bristol (44 cours Jean Jaurès 84000 Avignon).

12:00 pm: Provençal picnic at the Lake Sainte Croix, with a wonderful view over the lake and its clear water. The picnic will be made up of local goods only (instance: hard-boiled eggs from the farm, tapenade, anchovy purée, fresh goat cheese, seasonal fruits, grape juice). Duration: about 1 hour.

1:15 to 4:15 pm: Several 30-minute stops in various huge lavender fields around Valensole, including a stop in a shop of lavender producers. Duration: about 3 hours (5 stops of 30 minutes each).

4:15/4:30 pm: Back to Avignon (2 hours drive). Arrival in front of Hotel Le Bristol around 6:00/6:30 pm.

Tour around Sault (from July 7th to 19th):

9:30 am: Pickup in front of Hotel Le Bristol (44 cours Jean Jaurès 84000 Avignon).

10:30 am to 12:15 pm: Go to Senanque Abbey (1 hour drive), must-see stop in the lavender’s blossoming, with its beautiful scenery. Then we will go to lavender fields off the beaten track, in Lioux (30 minutes drive), for other fantastic colorful pictures. Duration: about 45 minutes at Senanque Abbey and around 30 minutes in Lioux.

12:30/12:45 pm: Provençal picnic in the very small village of St Trinit, made up of local goods only (instance: hard-boiled eggs from the farm, tapenade, anchovy purée, fresh goat cheese, seasonal fruits, grape juice). Duration: about 1 hour.

1:45/2:00 pm: Stop in the fine lavender fields of Ferrassières, one of the only places in the world where fine lavender is produced, then we will go to a local producer of lavender’s shop. Duration: about 1 hour.

3:15/3:30 pm: Last stop in the hugest lavender field around Sault (30 minutes drive) for other unforgetable pictures! Also, stock up on Provençal fragrances. Duration: about 1 hour.

4:15/4:30 pm: Back to Avignon (1h30 drive). Arrival in front of Hotel Le Bristol around 5:45/6:00 pm.
