Our best day in Provence was with Arnaud, an extremely friendly, punctual, and professional guide. We had a very pleasant tour full of relevant information about wine production and the region where it's produced. But the icing on the cake was the picnic under a flowering tree in the heart of Provence, with fresh regional products and free-range eggs. It was incredibly thoughtful, everything very simple but made with love to offer a unique experience. Worth every penny!! Oh! And the wines were excellent (we tasted 12 in total!). We recommend Arnaud without hesitation.

I originally booked a wine tasting tour as a birthday present for my husband with another company who then cancelled it, as they didn't have a driver available. I was therefore nervous about booking this tour with Arnaud in case the same thing happened, but I needn't have worried. Everything was very well organised, Arnaud was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine, although there was never any pressure to do so. I cannot recommend this highly enough. We booked months in advance. 48 hrs before hand we got a reminder. On the day we got an email saying traffic was tough he might be late. He was 4 minutes late. Every thing else went like clockwork. Arnaund knows the area and the vinyards exceptionally well. He explained exactly what we were going to see, who had made it and why they did it that way. He had extremely good relationships with staff and management at the three vinyards we visited. What impressed us most was his profound knowledge, not only of the wines and tasting notes, but also of the history and secrets of the region. The highlight of our tour was hands down Arnaud. He made the afternoon so enjoyable and educational. He was happy to have a laugh, and patient with us wanting to learn to pronounce a few French words. He never made us feel like we needed to rush. We loved both the variety of vineyards and wines on offer as well as the taste of them. Arnoud has curated a wonderful tour with some very friendly Domaines and in beautiful locations. The Domaines were beautiful, rich in heritage, locally and nationally important, but also felt very private just for us and not just churning through groups of people. His choice in Beaumes de Venise was especially beautiful and rooted in history. Arnoud was a very lovely host who is evidently passionate about not only wine but the region as a whole. As a local he was able to give us more understanding of what we were seeing, the environment and lay of the land, how the land and different microclimates affect the vine growing and grape flavours. His picnic is also vlovely, sourcing a lot of the food from his village and even his own garden. Our tour guide was exceptional. He was pleasant and provided lots of pertinent information regarding the wine making area and the vineyards we were to visit. We were disappointed with our stop at the Chateauneuf du Pape winery. It is usually one of favourite wines but the tastings at that particular winery provided young wines for sampling. I would have preferred to pay slightly more for better samples to taste. Chateauneuf-du-Pape Wine tour The Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine tour was amazing from start to finish. Arnoud our guide was from the area and is doing a job he truly loves. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome and comfortable visiting the three wineries our tour. You could tell that he had a great relationship with the wineries and that they were comfortable letting him show us around some of their behind the scenes areas. His commentary fit well with their history of each winery, and our group gained a lot of knowledge about each wine and the hard work that went into its production. We had a picnic lunch provided by our guide with a selection of foods native to the area that were all delicious. I like almost everything about this trip. the guide was excellent intelligent and well informed car was very comfortable we had an intimate group of five. I would have never thought I a half-day tour could pack so much into that amount of time my favourite was the Chateauneuf-du-Pape winery. I was surprised I didn't enjoy the wines in Gigondas more. but what I liked is that it was an introduction to flavor profiles not familiar to me. A hugely enjoyable and interesting 5 hours! I really loved this tour! It was very informative and I certainly learned a lot from our guide, who was a really lovely guy. He cared so much for the guests and was very attentive and keen to ensure we all had a good time. He took us to some very unusual and different wineries and we tasted a very wide variety of different wines. He brought us local produce from his hometown for lunch, which was very tasty. We visited 3 different wineries and tasted a lot of wines, learnt quite a lot about wine making. We met awesome local folks who were very friendly. It was great to have an almost private tour without huge crowds. Big cudos to our guide Arnaud who did an excellent job! It’s not a tour run by a big company, it’s Arnaud’s small business venture. I believe that made the experience a lot more memorable and personable. Highly recommend.
