Route
Morning tour:
9:30 am: Pickup in front of Hotel Le Bristol (address: 44 cours Jean Jaurès 84000 Avignon)
10:00 am: Tasting in a family winery in Beaumes-de-Venise (30 minutes drive), village mainly known for its Muscat (natural sweet wine). Duration: between 40 minutes and 1 hour.
11:00/11:15 am: Tasting in a winery in Gigondas (15 minutes drive), AOP mainly with red wine but also rosé (1%) and white from 2023. Duration: about 1 hour.
12:15 pm: Provençal picnic in Gigondas, only made up of local goods (instance: hard-boiled eggs from the farm, tapenade, anchovy purée, fresh goat cheese, seasonal fruits, grape juice). Duration: about 1 hour.
1:45/2:00 pm: Prestigious family winery in Châteauneuf-du-Pape (25 minutes drive), internationally famous wine, especially in red (95% of the production), but which also gets an excellent white wine. Duration: between 40 minutes and 1 hour.
2:45/3:00 pm: Back to Avignon (25 minutes drive). Arrival in front of Hotel Le Bristol at around 3:15/3:30 pm.
Afternoon tour:
2:00 pm: Pickup in front of Hotel Le Bristol (address: 44 cours Jean Jaurès 84000 Avignon) except during the Festival d’Avignon every July (pickup at the Parking Allées de l’Oulle, in front of the cruise ships, wait for me at the statue Monument du Comtat).
2:30 pm: Prestigious family winery in Châteauneuf-du-Pape (25 minutes drive), internationally famous wine, especially in red (95% of the production), but which also gets an excellent white wine. Duration: between 40 minutes and 1 hour.
4:00/4:15 pm: Tasting in a winery in Gigondas (25 minutes drive), AOP mainly with red wine but also rosé (1%) and white from 2023. Duration: about 1 hour.
5:00/5:15 pm: Tasting in a family winery in Beaumes-de-Venise (15 minutes drive), village mainly known for its Muscat (natural sweet wine). Duration: between 40 minutes and 1 hour.
5:45/6:00 pm: Back to Avignon (30 minutes drive). Arrival in front of Hotel Le Bristol at around 6:15/6:30 pm.
